Whether it’s a quick getaway in Europe or a longer trip to Asia, I’m always on the move. I’d been looking for a stylish yet practical luggage set that I could use for both short trips and long-haul adventures. If you’re in the same boat and searching for a durable, good-looking travel set for frequent flyers, I think this Level8 Voyageur review will really help you decide. Maybe you’ve even come across the brand – and that’s what brought you here.

Why I Chose the Level8 Travel Luggage Set
I was looking for a durable luggage set that could keep up with me on all my travels. Especially on longer trips that took me through multiple climate zones – like in South America – my backpack quickly reached its limits. It’s not just clothes that take up space; shoes, camera gear, tech equipment, and toiletries all need to fit in as well.
Creating a packing list and making sure you don’t forget anything is one thing, but the real challenge is actually fitting everything in and playing Tetris with your belongings.
With some of my previous larger suitcases, I often ran into problems with the wheels not rolling properly. Plus, they didn’t have any real compartments inside, so everything ended up in a chaotic mess. And most of the time, things would just spill out the moment I opened the case. On top of that, the narrow handles often took up valuable space inside the suitcase. Especially with carry-ons, you really need every inch you can get.
So, I was genuinely excited when Level8 reached out to me and asked if I’d like to test their Voyageur 2 Piece travel luggage set. The timing couldn’t have been better, and I’m happy to share my honest thoughts on the suitcases with you today.

First Impression of the Voyageur Luggage Set
I’ve quickly decided to order the Voyageur Luggage 2 Piece Set in the sizes 20” and 28” and in the color celadon. Read here about my first impressions and my full Level8 Voyageur review:
Fast Delivery
Level8 is an American brand with warehouses in the US and Europe. I was totally amazed when the suitcases arrived in just a few days despite international shipping to Germany. So, if you’re still looking for your luggage for a last-minute trip, you’re in luck.
Both suitcases were delivered in very sturdy cardboard boxes, and they were packed in extra fabric dust bags. No unnecessary plastic and still securely packed – definitely a plus!

Design and Safety
Besides having a practical suitcase, looks matter too when it comes to luggage. In my opinion, the design of the Level8 Voyageur suitcases is super sleek and high-quality. They do not look boring, but also not overly flashy.
I was especially drawn to the colors celadon and yellow-black, and in the end, I went with the stylish matte celadon. If you prefer something more classic, the suitcases also come in black, navy blue, or dark olive.

Each suitcase has two sturdy handles, one on top and one on the side, plus double zippers. The hard shell is anti-scratch, water-resistant, and super easy to clean.
The carry-on also comes with a TSA-approved lock, so your valuables are safely stored. I often run into the typical travel situation: your return flight is in the afternoon or evening, but you have to check out of your hotel in the morning. Having a lock like this gives you peace of mind when leaving your luggage in a hotel storage room or at the front desk.

Unique Wide Handle Design
One of the standout features of the Level8 suitcases, and something I really appreciate compared to standard luggage, is the innovative handle design. But what exactly makes it so special?
For one, the wide telescopic handle makes the suitcase easier to maneuver and offers more stability, even on uneven surfaces. And secondly, because the handle mechanism isn’t centered and bulky on the inside, you get more usable space in the main compartment. That means you don’t have to pack around any awkward inner bars. Not a single inch of space is wasted!

Space and Organization
The Level8 Voyageur suitcases are available in four different sizes. When you purchase the 2-piece set, the smaller 20” Carry-On Overall is included, and you can choose whether you want the larger suitcase in 26”, 28”, or 30”.
Here’s an overview of the sizes and capacities:
- 20” Carry-On Overall: 21.3”H x 15.1”W x 9.8”D | 8.1 lbs | 43 L
- 26” Checked Overall: 27.3”H x 16.6”W x 13.3”D | 11.8 lbs | 93 L
- 28” Checked Overall: 29.1”H x 16.6”W x 13.3”D | 12.4 lbs | 99 L
- 30” Checked Overall: 32.1”H x 16.7”W x 13.3”D | 13.9 lbs | 105 L
I chose the travel luggage set that includes the small 20” carry-on and the second-largest 28” suitcase. And I’m super happy with my choice! With a capacity of 99L, I shouldn’t have any trouble fitting all my travel gear, even on longer trips.
Both the small and large suitcases come with two compartments to help keep everything organized. There are dual zipper pockets and even a wet-dry pocket. This is perfect for storing wet swimsuits or towels if you squeeze in one last swim in the sea or pool before heading to the airport.

The compartment design of the suitcases is honestly one of my favorite features. There’s nothing more annoying than opening your suitcase and being greeted by a total mess or having to shove clothes into the sides one by one while trying to close the case, hoping nothing gets caught in the zipper. Luckily, that’s not the case here. You don’t need to jump on the suitcase like they do in movie scenes just to get it closed. Thanks to the generous storage space, everything fits in easily.
Another thing I love is that the small suitcase fits perfectly inside the larger one. So, if you don’t have much storage space at home, you can stack them and store them neatly. Super practical!

360° Spinner Wheels
The days of struggling with two-wheeled suitcases that can’t swivel and have to be awkwardly dragged behind you are thankfully over. But even 360° spinner wheels can be frustrating when they get stuck or one of them stops working properly.
My first impression of the 360° rotating spinner wheels on the Level8 suitcases is that they look very sturdy and built to last. The smooth, quiet wheels make the suitcase super easy to maneuver – whether you’re gliding across smooth airport floors or rolling over gravel, the suitcase moves effortlessly in any direction.

Voyageur Set Price
I do find the prices for this travel luggage set a bit high, especially compared to what I paid for my old suitcases back in the day. But it’s important to remember that Level8 is considered one of the more premium luggage brands, so you can’t really expect typical low Amazon prices here.
Thanks to the high quality and durability of the suitcases, I think the price is definitely justified, and that’s also the general opinion you’ll find in most of the reviews.
If you’re looking for both a new carry-on and a larger checked suitcase, I’d definitely recommend getting the set, since buying the bundle saves you quite a bit of money. Level8 also regularly offers special deals and promotions on its website, so it’s definitely worth checking in from time to time.
